FAMEXEL PRIVACY POLICY
Version: 1.0
Effective Date: 17 October 2026
Last Updated: 17 October 2026
FameXel is an Android photo and video editing application. This Privacy Policy explains how FameXel accesses, processes, stores, and handles information when you use its editing features, permissions, and integrated third-party technologies.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using FameXel.
1. About FameXel
FameXel provides photo and video editing tools, including trimming, splitting, filters, effects, adjustments, overlays, text, stickers, audio, voiceovers, background editing, person segmentation, Cutout, draft projects, and exporting completed photos and videos.

2. Access to Photos and Videos
FameXel requests access to photos and videos when you use media-selection and editing features.
This access allows FameXel to display available media, import selected photos and videos, generate previews, apply editing operations, save draft projects, and export completed work.
Depending on your Android version and selected workflow, FameXel may request access to the device's media library or only the photos and videos you select.
FameXel processes media for the editing functions you request.
The inspected implementation does not contain a FameXel-operated cloud service for uploading original photos or videos for remote editing.
Some selected media may be copied into app-private storage, while other projects may reference the original files on your device.
3. Storage Permission and Saving Edited Photos and Videos
FameXel uses device storage capabilities to import media, maintain editing projects, and save completed photos and videos.
When you export and save an edited photo or video for the first time, FameXel may request the applicable storage or media permission required by its current saving workflow and Android version.
This permission is used to save completed output to your device.
On older Android versions, FameXel may request legacy external-storage permissions for reading media or writing exported files.
On newer Android versions, Android media permissions and platform storage APIs determine the available access and saving methods.
Denying a required permission may prevent the corresponding import, browsing, or saving operation.
Storage permission is not permission to upload all device media to an external server.
4. Audio Files and Microphone
FameXel uses media-audio access to allow you to select music, sound recordings, and other audio files for editing.
The app may also extract audio from selected media as part of its editing functions.
When you choose to record a voiceover, FameXel requests microphone permission.
Recorded voiceovers and associated project information may be stored locally.
The inspected ordinary audio-editing implementation does not use a remote speech-processing service.
5. Android Permissions Used by FameXel
FameXel declares the following Android permissions. Their availability and use depend on the device, Android version, and relevant feature.
INTERNET
Allows network communication needed by integrated SDKs and supported connectivity-dependent functions, including Google MediaPipe technical metrics.
This permission does not establish that original photos or videos are uploaded for cloud editing.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Allows FameXel to check network availability and connection status for relevant app and SDK operations.
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES
Supports access to photos for selection, importing, previewing, and editing on supported Android versions.
READ_MEDIA_VIDEO
Supports access to videos for selection, importing, previewing, and editing on supported Android versions.
READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED
Supports Android's selected-photo and selected-video access controls, where applicable.
READ_MEDIA_AUDIO
Supports browsing and importing audio files for music, sound, and audio-editing features.
RECORD_AUDIO
Allows microphone recording when you use FameXel's voiceover feature.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
Supports legacy media-reading operations on Android versions up to API level 32, as declared in the app manifest.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
Supports legacy external-storage writing and saving operations on Android versions up to API level 28.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Supports notifications associated with user-initiated exporting and processing, subject to Android's notification controls.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE
Supports foreground execution for applicable longer-running operations, such as user-initiated media processing and export.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PROCESSING
Supports the Android media-processing foreground-service type where applicable.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE
This permission is declared for Android foreground-service special-use capability. Its exact runtime use and any associated service subtype depend on the implemented service configuration. This declaration alone does not establish that an additional category of personal data is collected.
FameXel does not declare camera, device-location, contacts, or advertising-ID permission in the supplied manifest.
You can manage runtime permissions through Android Settings. Revoking permission may prevent the corresponding feature from working.
6. Person Segmentation and AI-Assisted Editing
FameXel provides optional person-aware editing features, including Text Behind Person, Sticker Behind Person, applicable background effects, portrait adjustments, person/background protection, and Cutout.
These features may analyze selected images or decoded video frames to generate person masks, foreground boundaries, body landmarks, and related editing information.
The inspected FameXel implementation uses bundled Google MediaPipe models for local device inference.
According to Google's MediaPipe Tasks documentation, input images and videos are processed on-device and are not sent to Google for MediaPipe Tasks inference.
These features are intended for editing, not identity authentication or identifying individuals.
7. Google MediaPipe Tasks and SDK Metrics
FameXel integrates Google MediaPipe Tasks and related technical dependencies.
Google states that MediaPipe Tasks sends performance and utilization metrics to Google to support operation, evaluation, debugging, and improvement of its SDK.
Google's documentation describes technical categories such as SDK usage, inference activity, performance, application information, system information, and general media characteristics.
FameXel runtime testing observed SDK metric events and successful HTTPS logging communication with a Google endpoint.
This technical SDK communication is distinct from uploading your original photos or videos for remote person segmentation.
The complete transmitted field set, possible identifiers, exact transmission timing, and provider retention periods have not been independently established for this app version.
We do not claim that all SDK metrics are anonymous, disabled, or stored only on the device.

FameXel remains responsible for applicable privacy and consent obligations arising from its SDK integrations.
8. Person-Processing Consent
FameXel presents a separate person-processing disclosure when you first intentionally activate a covered feature in a particular project.
You may choose Agree & Continue or Decline.
Agreement is recorded for the relevant project and can apply to other covered features within that same project.
A different project requires a separate decision.
Declining prevents the requested new protected feature activation.
General acceptance of the Terms & Conditions does not replace this separate feature decision.
Previously saved person-aware effects may require additional processing when reopened, rendered into thumbnails, previewed, played, or exported.
The current Reset editing consent control requires a new decision for future covered feature activations. It does not automatically remove saved effects or stop all processing associated with them.
Previously queued SDK metrics may also be transmitted later.
These limitations do not remove any privacy rights available under applicable law.
9. Draft Projects and Local Storage
FameXel allows you to save unfinished photo and video projects as drafts.
Project information may include imported media copies or references, editing settings, audio, voiceovers, stickers, effects, filters, thumbnails, and derived processing data.
Drafts are maintained locally through the app's project-storage system.
When you delete a draft, it is removed from the FameXel draft list and the app performs its associated project-deletion workflow.
Deleting a draft does not necessarily delete original gallery media, previously exported photos or videos, copies shared with other services, Android backups, or every residual temporary or derived file.
10. Android Backup and Device Transfer
FameXel's current Android configuration permits Android-managed backup.
Depending on Android version, device settings, and backup-provider rules, eligible app data may be backed up or transferred.
This can include project information, app-owned media copies, preferences, consent records, and persistent editing data.
Android-managed backup is different from a FameXel-operated cloud editing service.
Backup and restoration practices are controlled by the applicable platform or provider.
11. Third-Party Services
FameXel uses or interacts with the following relevant categories of third-party technologies and services.
Google MediaPipe Tasks: Provides on-device person-processing technology and separately handles SDK performance/utilization metrics.
Google and Android platform services: Provide Android permissions, media storage, notifications, foreground processing, and potentially device backup and transfer.
Google DataTransport / CCT: Technical transport components associated with observed MediaPipe metrics delivery to Google services.
Media providers and gallery applications: Allow users to select or access device media. Cloud-backed providers may apply their own data-handling practices.
User-selected sharing applications: Receive exported media when you deliberately choose to share it.
Android font and emoji providers: May supply or download font and emoji resources through applicable platform mechanisms.
Third-party software libraries and codecs: Support media decoding, encoding, rendering, and editing, subject to their applicable licenses and technical behavior.
Not every third-party software library necessarily transmits personal information.
We do not claim that all third-party technologies are completely offline.
12. Sharing of Information
The inspected FameXel implementation does not establish a developer-operated service for selling users' original media, using it for advertising, or training publisher-operated AI models.
However, third-party SDK metrics, Android-managed backups, media providers, and user-selected sharing services may involve separate data processing.
When you share an exported file with another application or service, that provider handles the received file under its own applicable terms and policies.
13. Retention and Deletion
Local projects remain available until deleted, app data is removed, or device/storage conditions make them unavailable.
You can delete drafts through the available app controls.
You can delete exported media through your device's gallery or file manager.
Uninstalling FameXel or clearing its data normally removes app-owned local information under Android rules, subject to backup restoration and other platform behavior.
Deleting local content does not automatically delete third-party copies, backups, prior exports, or SDK metrics already transmitted.
No universal fixed retention period or guaranteed secure erasure of every residual copy is represented.
14. Security
FameXel relies on Android platform security, app sandboxing, and applicable permission controls.
No software system can guarantee perfect security.
We do not represent every app file as separately encrypted or every provider communication as end-to-end encrypted.
15. International Processing
Google and other third-party services may process technical or backup information outside your country.
Specific processing locations and retention arrangements for all MediaPipe SDK metrics have not been independently established.
Applicable privacy and data-transfer laws continue to apply.
16. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or complaints to a competent authority.
Some FameXel project information is held locally on your device rather than on a developer-operated server.
For questions or privacy requests, contact famexel.editor@gmail.com.
17. Children's Privacy
FameXel is intended for adults aged 18 or older.
The app is not intended for children. This statement does not represent an automated age-verification system.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when FameXel's features, permissions, third-party integrations, or applicable requirements change.
Material changes will be communicated and renewed consent obtained where required by law.
